Having served as a Police Officer in the Metropolitan Police Service for 10 years, in 2004 it was decided it was time to face new challenges and pursue a career change. What better way to incorporate a passion for cycling and meeting new people than to establish a company offering guided cycling tours in the country where the bicycle is King of the road. This symmetry created the synergy that formed Deluxe Cycle Tours.

The rock of our office. Our youngest member of staff who helps to make Deluxe Cycle Tours a company praised for its speedy response to enquiries and reception of information by post, and for its supply of information and assistance in our customer’s travel arrangements.

Administration and Guide
Some would say Gary’s better half! Coming from a secretarial/book keeping back-ground Lisa brings these skills to Deluxe Cycle Tours to run a tight ship. She also has a passion for cooking and loves to be creative with local produce.

Germain

History and geography consultant/Guide
Deluxe Cycle Tours’ travelling encyclopedia. An economist and self-taught historian who speaks numerous languages and has visited and lived in many countries. Swiss by birth, he has an incredible knowledge of world history and of France and its local traditions. There’s not a lot he doesn’t know!

Alex

Cycle Mechanic and Guide
Responsible for all our bikes being in pristine condition. From competing in ‘Megavalanche’ to organising local road races and teaching children cycling proficency, Alex has cycling freewheeling through his body. A keen foodie and with a feel for the local wines and produce, allowing him help make your experience a unique one.

Gary and his team take care of all the dirty work (accommodation, luggage transfer, snacks, directions, lunch & dinner reservations) so all you have to do is enjoy the ride.
