Deluxe Cycle Tours is proud to announce the development of an exciting range of cycle tours in New Zealand. The New Zealand Government has announced the development of a “patchwork of trails” which will link existing tracks and new pathways taking meandering peddlers through some of New Zealands most scenic countryside. Deluxe Cycle Tours has decided to align itself with this major government initiative and offer cycling tours in New Zealand that will be run along the lines as the very successful tours that we have developed in France.

New Zealand is well known for its clean, green image and our cycle tours will let you experience the natural beauty of the New Zealand environment as well as participate in some unique activities and cultural events.

The first of our tours will include The Waikato River trail, 100km on the banks of the Waikato river and five hydro lakes and will span areas rich in ancient geological, volcanic and cultural history, with a moderate mountain biking grade of 2-3, this trail is destined to target the family market.

We will have a rest day in the very popular city of Rotorua where you will be able to explore Maori culture, thermal pools and lots more and the tour will end in the fastest growing city in New Zealand Tauranga/Mt Maunganui.

These tours are in the initial planning stage so we don’t have any indications of price. It is our intention to offer these tours from as early as the beginning of 2010 and again from summer in November 2010.
